Meet the homes on the 2012 Modern Home Tour Austin!
Each year the Austin Modern Home Tour features spectacular homes from some of Austin’s premier Modern Architects and a selection of modern homes currently on the Austin market. These homes represent a forward movement to introduce more modern designs to Austin and provide visitors with the chance to experience the modern lifestyle.

Meet the Homes on the 2012 Tour
Every year the Austin Modern Home Tour features homes by some of Austin’s premier modern architects. These architects and firms are responsible for moving Austin to a new, modern design style. Through these incredible design styles and visions, Austinites are given the chance to experience true modern architecture.
Visitors on the Modern Home Tour will have the opportunity to meet the 2012 Featured Architects at the Tour After Party, where the architects participate in a panel on Modern Architecture.

Featuring 16 stunning modern homes, the Modern Home Tour will take place on Saturday, February 4th, 2012 from 11:00am – 6:00pm. Tickets grant you access to every home and the 2012 After Party. Advanced tickets are currently on sale for $20 until 8:00pm on February 3rd. Ticket prices rises to $25 the day of the tour, so get yours today!
What is the Modern Home Tour?
I believe the Modern Home Tour is a fun part of an important effort to bring attention to the modern and sustainable lifestyle. Its purpose is simple – to highlight and promote the collaborative exchange between Real Estate Professionals, Architects and Developers and to invite Austinites to join the Modern Movement.
In the 2012 Austin Modern Home Tour you will see homes designed by some very talented Austin modern architects and fantastic modern homes currently on the market. Acclaimed Architectural Critic John Gallagher said it best, “The sense of being in architectural space – what it feels like, how it hits you in the eye and swirls around in your gut, and, if you are very lucky, sends shivers up your spine – cannot be understood except by being there.” Join us on February 4th to be wowed and inspired.

Thank you for attending the 2012 Modern Home Tour on February 4th from 11:00am-6:00pm! Advance tickets are $20.00 and will be available until 8:00 pm on Friday, February 3rd. Kids under 12 will get into the Tour for FREE, so bring the family and bring your friends!
Tickets will also be available the day of the Tour, Saturday February 4th, at designated homes on the tour for $25.00.
We will not be issuing paper tickets, and all Tour attendees will be issued wristbands at the will call locations on the Tour. To get your wristband, you MUST pick up your advance tickets starting at 11:00 am on February 4 (tour day) at one of the following locations FIRST:

3103 Highland Terrace W.
1127 Lott Ave.
2210 East Side Dr.
1114 E. Cesar Chavez
Your wristband will grant you access to all 16 homes on the 2012 Tour, and will also functions as your personal invitation to the 2012 Modern Home Tour After Party. The After Party will be held at TreeHouse, 4477 S. Lamar in the Westgate Shopping Center, where you will have the opportunity to sample local Austin treats and beverages, mingle with other Modern Home Tour lovers and the 2012 Featured Architects, and listen in on the Architect Panel, moderated by Modern Architecture expert and Tour curator Ingrid Spencer. All the fun begins after the Tour at 6:00 pm and will continue to 8:30 pm.
